Jen Starr is a fully Certified and Ranger Recognized Instructor. She was the 2007-2008 Design Team Coordinator for Ranger Industries and continues to teach and do private design work for them. She enjoys being a Golden Embassador for Tattered Angels, an Endorsed Instructor for Prima and was the Lead Creative Designer for Canvas Concepts. Jen has designed several signature product lines and her projects have been featured in many publications in the US and Europe including the “Ink Essentials” book. Jen has been scrapbooking since she married her wonderful husband, Mike, in 1997. ALTERED JOURNEY MINI-BOOK, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
If you love everything Tim Holtz then this class is for you! We'll be creating a 6x8" mini-book with a "journey" theme using Some of Tim's greatest products including some of his dies and embossing folders from Sizzix, Idea-ology embellishments, stamps and of course inks! During your journey in class, you'll learn some fun and unique techniques along the way to make this project a one of a kind!
DISTRESSED DENIM MINI-BOOK, 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM
This comfortably distressed mini-book will be created with a mix of fun materials and media including denim, corrugated cardboard, chipboard, kraft paper, Basic Grey paper, burlap, embellishments made from Tim Holtz dies, a little paint and more...During the creative process, we will concentrate on techniques using Tim's new DISTRESS STAINS, creating some interactive elements plus some fun and unique stamping techniques...Oh, and just wait until you see how we are going to distress the denim!! By the end of class you will have a great chunky book brimming with techniques!

Wendy Vecchi is a full time artist/designer, Senior Educator for Ranger, and a past member the Tim Holtz and Maya Road design teams. Wendy loves to demo and teach at stores and events across the country and has been published in numerous publications. She was the guest instructor for the Artful Voyage in Mexico with Tim Holtz, in October of 2009. Wendy also has her own signature line of stamps from Stampers Anonymous titled "studio 490" and she also recently introduced her signature "art parts", which are simply...parts to make art. Her style is unique and eclectic with an exceptional attention to detail and a fresh approach to the creative spirit. She released her 4th idea book called "make art...studio 490 style" @ CHA this past January and is currently working on book five. She shares her love of techniques on her blog and reminds you that whatever you do each day just – "Make Art!".

YOU ARE an artist...so let the world know...
We'll start with the cool studio 490 art parts spool and create this VERY FUN home decor art... Once completed, it's PERFECT to display in your creative space. The holidays are coming...this would also make a GREAT gift for an artsy friend. We'll use lots of stamps, inks, paint, stickles and grunge & you'll be able to customize colors & the design too. I HOPE you can join the fun!

Inspiration Station is just that! A place to record your ideas & a place to try new techniques. It's a unique art journal of sorts. Since the pages are easily removable & replaceable, there's no need to worry about ruining your book. This design can also be transformed into a mini scrapbook, if you so desire. In this workshop we'll use lots of fun products including studio 490 art parts and stamps, Tim Holtz Idea-ology goodness, lots of Ranger inks and some grungeboard too. We'll play with the new distress stains & a few surprise techniques. Come join the fun and be inspired at Inspiration Station.
** Note: Your project may be a bit different as Wendy is going to try and use some NEW product that she is introducing at CHA.
