Fun Flakes! - How to make them!

Many have been admiring the fun snowflakes we've been making at the store.
Here is a tutorial on how to make them:

Supplies:
6 squares of paper all of the same size (ie 6x6, 12x12)
Stapler
Scissors
optional: bone folder
optional: tape

Fold one square in half along the diagonal creating a triangle.
Fold it in half a second time creating a smaller triangle.

Locate the outside edges of the paper on your triangle.  We are going to make 3 cuts in the triangle that are parallel to the out side edges.  Make the cuts from one of the folded edges towards the other folded edges cutting until you are about 1/4" to 1/2'" from the far edge.

Open it up to a square.

Fold the two middle piece up and cross over the ends.  Either tape or staple the ends together.

Turn the square over.

Fold the next two pieces up and cross over the ends.  Either tape or staple the ends together.

Turn the square over.

Fold the next two pieces up and cross over the ends.  Either tape or staple the ends together.

Turn the square over.

Fold the next two pieces up and cross over the ends.  Either tape or staple the ends together.

Repeat with the remaining 5 squares.

Take 3 sections.

Connect the ends together with a staple.
Next connect each section together at the sides with a staple.

Repeat with the next 3 sections.

Cross the bottom of the 2 sets of 3 and staple together.
Staple the sides of sections to each other at the cross pieces.

Your snowflake is finished!
This snowflake was made with 6x6 Authentique Paper.

Thank you to the customer who came in over Thanksgiving weekend and told me how to make them!  I have been making them in all different sizes since then!
