CHA activities began for Cafe Crop with a workshop by Imagine Crafts with Tsukineko products for Crafters Home members. The first project was an explosion box using a variety of products.
We used StazOn and GlazOn to decorate an ATC sized metal blank. It can embossed and cut with the steel dies yet is still strong enough to use as jewelry and embellishment.
Then we used shaving cream and All Purpose Ink to create a marble effect on fabric.
Next we used the left over to marble some squares of paper. The fabric became the cover of a mini accordion book in the middle.
We completed this project by playing with the Goosebumps spray and dabbers to create a resist on the individual layers. This is a really cool product. We used it with stamps, stencils and just as a spray. It comes in original and a shimmer.
In the afternoon we made a mini album with a cool looking cover using the Tsukineko Kaleidacolor ink pad (a non-bleeding raised dye inkpad), Ink Potion No. 9 (a ink blending solution for water based inks) and a brayer.
Then we crumpled it and smoothed it out, inked it with Memento Dewdrop Ink, and sprayed it with Fireworks. It added a nice light shine to it. The binding was super easy. Look for it in an upcoming class. For the inside pages, we were able to play with all the techniques.
This was the sample book. Look for ours in the store when we get back.
Holy cow! That's some creativity going on!!! Great stuff. Can't wait to see yours!
